Single-User Licenses
A single-user license can be used to authorize Sente on up to three computers.
Available only to students, faculty and staff at accredited academic institutions.
Available only to students at accredited academic institutions.
Sente Undergraduate Edition is limited to 250 references per library.
There are no other differences between the Undergraduate Edition and the regular versions of Sente.
Workgroup Licenses
A workgroup license can be used to authorize Sente on up to 10 computers.
Available only to students, faculty and staff at accredited academic institutions.
Department Licenses
A department license can be used to authorize Sente on up to 50 computers.
Available only to students, faculty and staff at accredited academic institutions.
What about Sente 6?
We will be releasing Sente 6 in the Fall of 2009.
Customers who purchase a new Sente 5 license on or after January 1st,
2009 will receive Sente 6 as a free upgrade. This offer does not apply
to purchases of Sente Undergraduate Edition, nor to purchases of upgrades
to Sente 5 from earlier versions.
Upgrades from Earlier Versions
If you own a license for an earlier version of Sente, you can upgrade to Sente 5 for a reduced price.
Please note that there is no difference between standard and academic upgrade pricing.
Upgrades from Undergraduate Edition
If you own a license for of Sente Undergraduate Edition, you can upgrade to a regular academic license for a reduced price.
You will receive a new Sente license that removes the library size limitation of the Undergraduate Edition.
Your existing libraries will work with this new license and there will no longer be a size limitation.
Purchase Sente from Amazon.com
Customers in the United States can purchase an academic license for Sente from Amazon.com.
If you order Sente through Amazon.com,
you will receive Sente on CD-ROM,
and the license code will be included in the package.
This is the only option that we currently support for obtaining the software
on CD-ROM.
Eligibiilty for Academic Pricing
The academic pricing listed above is available to any student, faculty or staff member at an accredited academic institution.
Institution name and student or employee ID number will be required at checkout.
If your institution does not issue ID numbers, please note this in the ID field at checkout.
Licensing Procedure
To purchase Sente, follow these steps:
1. If you have not already done so, download a copy of Sente.
2. Purchase a Sente license from the Kagi store.
3. Receive the email confirmation from Kagi,
which will include your Sente License Key.
4. Copy the License Key into the registration screen the next time you launch Sente.
After completing these steps, your copy of Sente will be fully-functional and non-expiring.
You can repeat the last step above on as many computers as your license permits.
