Sente 6 Private Previews

We are about to begin limited distribution of Sente 6 Previews.  We will eventually offer public previews as we have in the past, but for now we are limiting access to a small number of experienced Sente 5 users.  If you are interested in trying these early previews, please write to our support address with your request.

Here is what we are looking for in these early-access users:

1)  You must own a Sente 5 license (the previews will not work in demo mode).

2)  You should have been using Sente for at least several months on a regular basis.  We want to make sure you have had a chance to really understand what you do and do not like about the Sente 5 interface before you begin commenting on the new interface.

3)  You must be willing (even anxious!) to tell us what you think about the new interface.  The point of these previews is to get real user feedback to improve the design before releasing it to the public at large.  Please do not ask to participate just to satisfy your own curiosity about the next major release of Sente -- we want to hear what you like and what you dislike in the new software!

4)  You must agree not to share the preview releases with anyone else.  It will not be much longer before we make public previews available, but we do not want these private previews in circulation beyond the selected participants. And, of course, you must agree not to discuss these preview releases with anyone but us during the private preview period.  We are really not as secretive as Apple, but we are not yet ready for all of the details of our future release to be made public.

5)  You must be willing to work with pre-release software but not to count on it for real work.  Sente 6 will not modify your Sente 5 data in any way, but it will need to make a copy of that data, which you will then be able to edit in the software.  Obviously, any work you do on this copy in Sente 6 will be lost when you return to Sente 5 (as you will need to until Sente 6 becomes official).

So, if all of the restrictions have not scared you off, we would like to hear from you.  We will be limiting the size of the preview pool, so even some of the people who satisfy all of these requirements will not be included, but we do want to hear from a diverse group of people before these changes become official.

If you are interested, this is your chance to make your voice heard on the future of Sente.
